This piece was painted from reference photos I took in the entomology room at Liverpool Museum. I was drwn to the beetle’s intense colours and the almost alien texture of its exoskeleton. The way the light bounced off it interested me, and I wanted to capture that vivid, electric feeling with paint.

Each giclée print is made on museum quality fine art rag cotton paper, so the depth of colour and detail really shines through it’s as close to the original painting as you can get.
